Building a robust network of STEM centers to enhance STEM education nationwide.
Aspiring to make WVU a national model of high-quality STEM education, WVUCE-STEM is a member of the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU) National Network of STEM Centers. By fostering communication and interaction among STEM education centers nationwide, WVUCE-STEM can garner innovative ideas and additional resources that will encourage more students to study and stay in STEM fields. This, ultimately, opens doors to successful STEM careers, including STEM teaching, across West Virginia.
The APLU Network involves centers that are discrete campus units with research and faculty activities that focus on the transformation of undergraduate teaching and learning of STEM disciplines.
